In this session, I’ll talk about the cross-vendor battle for analytics dominance. I’ll also be discussing what analytics solutions look like and where the industry is going. While I do work for an analytics vendor I’ll be showing the scope of the industry and pros/cons of all solution types such as vendor owned vs vendor-neutral analytics.
As an alternative / in addition to, I can provide some very interesting network statistics gained from insights of millions of devices under analytics observation.
GT entered the technology world at the age of 7 with a TI-99/4a (thanks Dad!) and that apparently defined his future. After achieving the MCSE+I and MCDBA certifications in the late 90’s, GT chose to pursue Wi-Fi after he and a high school friend thought it would be cool to start a WISP in the middle of nowhere Oregon in 2001. That started a long career of Wi-Fi centric technology consulting, training and employment at a few Silicon Valley startups. He is CWNE #21 and resides in Arkansas with his family on a decommissioned Titan II Nuclear Missile Base.
